Local 210 Update

Posted: February 13, 2006

The following is the Monday morning update from Local 210's Negotiating Committee: TO ALL IBEW LOCAL 210 MEMBERS AT ATLANTIC CITY ELECTRIC In continuing with the commitment that the negotiating committee has made to the membership, we are providing the following update on the current negotiating sessions. First the committee would like to recognize our Brothers and Sisters who braved the weather this past Friday to help spread our message to the public. This was a strong showing of solidarity that will continue to foster unity in the weeks to come. The Union negotiating committee has pressed on through a good portion of working conditions, and has began to have in depth discussions about the status of BL England. There are multiple scenarios possible concerning the fate of this facility, and it will be given the time needed to ensure that each of the possibilities are addressed. With the uncertainty that each of our members at BL England work with daily, rest assured that each of you are in our minds every step of the way. The Benefits portion, without a doubt, will also take some time to work through. We mention this, because we want our members to understand, that although the Company repeatedly states that we are close to reaching a tentative agreement, we are optimistic, but also realistic about what lies ahead. In the interim, remember we are not in this fight alone, as proven by our Brothers and Sisters at Locals 1238, and 1307, and also the new supporters we are gaining with the public. We encourage all to continue following our Strategic plan as we enter our 44th meeting with the Company today, and we would like to remind everyone to remain focused on your job, and to keep safety your top priority. In solidarity your Union Negotiating Committee
