UPDATE 2010 CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS
TO ALL MEMBERS:
The Union Negotiating Committee has been meeting daily with the Company daily since January 5, 2010. The issues that are currently on the table are as follows:
1) Ten Year Clause-Delete for all employees
2) Sick Leave Policy-Reduce the current benefit.
3) Stand By/Overtime Requirements-Change the way overtime is distributed.
4) Call Out Response-Implement a mandatory percentage
5) Probationary Period-Extend to 12 months.
This has been our first full week of meeting with the Company. We will continue to post updates every Friday on our website at www.ibew1238.org. Also, our next Union Meeting will be held on January 12, 2010 at the UAW Local 1183 Hall at 7:00 P.M.
